Tuesday is National Cat Day and to bring awareness to homeless casts we are highlighting Autumn, who just got her stitches out recently from a knee surgery. Autumn is a young cat who came into the Butler County Humane Society recently with a broken knee and had to be taken to the vet for a surgery that cost about $1,000, according to the Alicia Sharer, the community outreach and volunteer coordinator of the Butler County Humane Society. To fund the surgery, the Humane Society ran a fundraiser on their Facebook page and according to Sharer, the community came together chipped in the cost for Autumn's surgery in just a couple of hours. Sharer said by the time her and Autumn arrived at the vet, the fundraiser had reached it's goal. The fundraiser ended with a total of $1320.Photo by Lauryn Halahurich
